Dear Neuro Therapist,

I took a mind-blowing course on treating patients with chronic pain a few years ago. The speaker had me riveted the entire weekend. 

I took abundant notes both in the notebook and on my ipad. I truly felt my neural pathways changing as I absorbed the knowledge bombs.

The excitement about the content and the possibilities for my patients even prevented me from sleeping that night. I loved it all so much!

I couldn't wait to get home, process it all, write up some handy cheat sheets for my patients and co-workers, create a framework around what I learned to implement with the appropriate patients, and so on. SO many ideas!  

Then I got home late after being away for the whole weekend at the out-of-state course.  Super excited but also very tired from not having a weekend. 

Back to the busy schedule and work on Monday.

And...  

Did I create the cheatsheet?  Well, No. Maybe later! (Still not done).

Did I make a framework? Nope.

Did I implement what I had learned? Yes, some of it to the people that it was easy to apply to.  

For the more challenging cases? No. I still had questions.

I wanted more!! 

More time to process.

More time to implement and practice.

An ability to return to the videos and handouts at my own pace and time.

I took away some extremely valuable nuggets that helped my patients so much. But there was so much forgotten. So many bits and pearls still in my notes.  

Not absorbed. Not able to be translated to my specific cases (hello, patients with complex neuro diagnoses plus chronic pain).
