78: The Essentials of Setting Up Cardio/Aerobic Class for Neuro Clients (and What to Avoid)

Oct 11, 2021

Catch a sneak peek into our PD Focus track call for the month of October. This call is for our NeuroSpark members only, but per request from members to listen to the audio, we decided to share it with everyone! In today’s show we’ll be discussing the best ways to set up, monitor and progress a cardio class for your neuro clients. This is a class using bikes, treadmills and other equipment.

In the talk you will hear us discuss the key elements and key progressions of hosting a cardio class for individuals with Parkinson’s. The focus is first on safety, quality of movement, endurance, speed, resistance and incline, and beyond. Get a notepad ready because you will need it!

In the show you will hear answers to questions like “How should you get someone started when the research says people should work at 90 rpms on the bike if they aren’t exercising at all yet?” and more.
