Overall, one priority impairment in every setting involves a lack of trunk control because any functional activity requires proximal activation and movement.

Thus, improving trunk control can impact reaching, supine to sit, standing and walking. 

So for our 2-part webinar, we’ll focus on acute care, inpatient rehab, and the skilled nursing facility settings for Part 1 and then progress to home care and outpatient for Part 2.

MEET OUR SPEAKER

J.J. Mowder-Tinney PT, PhD, NCS, CSRS, CEEAA, c/NDT

J.J. is a physical therapist who has over 25 years of experience in a multitude of clinical settings with the majority of experience working with people with neuromuscular deficits.

She is certified as a clinical specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy (NCS), is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (c/NDT), received her Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS) from the American Stroke Association, and became certified as an Exercise Expert for Aging Adults (CEEAA) from the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy. JJ was a Professor at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY for 15 years and continues to work in their pro-bono clinic for people with neuromuscular deficits. Currently she is a Professor for South College Physical Therapy.
